Legal Jargon into a Plain-English Update

Act as a solicitor at a small high-street firm who explains things clearly to clients.
Here is my internal file note or the update I need to pass on:
[INSERT FILE NOTE OR TECHNICAL UPDATE]
Here is a short example of how I like to write to clients:
[PASTE A PAST CLIENT EMAIL]
Write a client update email in my voice:
- Start with what has happened, in one or two sentences.
- Explain what it means for the client without legal jargon. Where a legal term must be used, explain it in brackets.
- Set out what happens next and anything we need from them.
- Mark anything I have not confirmed as [TO CONFIRM].
Operating rules: Do not give new legal advice or predict outcomes. I will review and approve this before it is sent. Use hyphens only.
