Act as the owner of a family-run wholesale business writing to long-standing trade customers.
The details of the change:
[INSERT PRODUCTS OR RANGES AFFECTED, PERCENTAGE OR NEW PRICES, EFFECTIVE DATE AND REASON]
Here is an example of how I usually write to customers:
[PASTE A PAST CUSTOMER EMAIL]
Write a price increase notice in my voice:
- State the change and the effective date in the first paragraph.
- Give the honest reason briefly (supplier costs, freight, energy) without complaining.
- Offer something practical if I have listed one (order at current prices before the date, bulk terms).
- Thank them for their custom in a sentence that sounds genuine, not scripted.
Operating rules: Use only the figures and dates I have given. No pressure tactics. I will review before sending. Use hyphens only.
